WHERE THERE IS NO VISION THE PEOPLE PERISH (PROVERBS 29:18)
The scripture I have quoted above was the answer to my prayers in what I should do to make a difference to {my} 2016! While Planning & Goal Settings comes easy to others I on the other hand find it a struggle!

My 1st Blogpost for Year 2016 I mention making goals.  f you missed you can read it here :)

At the beginning of this year, My Husband, son and I spoke about making Personal Goals and working together in achieving them or at least some of them.

With so many thoughts and ideas  - these are the main goals I would like to work on this year and I might add to it but these goals will definitely be my main focus.

These goals of mine may be a walk in the park to most of you - but they are way out of my comfort zone yet I know this will stretch me to become a better {me} and  help me progress and enjoy the passion {talent} I have.

SO HERE FINALLY
{my} 2016 GOALS!
If you'd like a editable copy of template for {my} 2016 Goals - please let me know - I can email it to you upon request :)
As always - thank you so much for taking a minute of your time to read my blogposts - I truly appreciate it. I hope you have a wonderful 2016!

Valentine's Day is a day of LOVE!  It's not just about Husbands+Wives or Boyfriends+Girlfriends.  It's a day we celebrate LOVE as a Family, as Friends, co-workers or whatever it may be!

I am a big fan of #makingmemories with our loved ones.  For Valentines 2016 why don't you CREATE a meaningful Family Tradition for your family!

Make it simple yet memorable - don't go crazy and start planning it like it's CHRISTMAS DAY because then you'll be wrecking it all.. after all LOVE is celebrated daily we just don't really take much notice of it such as a simple text message, a facebook comment, a smile from our loved ones, sharing food with family and friends, laughing over something silly and the list goes on.

One year our family decided to make a Video to send our brothers WCM & AM who were currently away for Rugby sacrificing so much for our family to have a better living.  Here's the video if you want to watch it: 'Valentines Video Card for W & A'.

3 Valentines in our 8.5 years of our Marriage we decided to use what we would have spent on ourselves and spend it on others for Valentines and it was so much fun lightening up someone's day!  I remember 2014 waking up to a little sack of lollies hanging on our door knob from my Sister E!  I remember in High School when the girls would buy a whole bunch of plastic roses and give them out at school for the fun of it :)  I remember doing Heart Attack with our Family around our neighbourhood.. and the list goes on and on. #somanywonderfulmemories

NO.1 RULES BE EXCITED and KEEP IT SIMPLE.  It really can be as simple as:
  • a phone call
  • wear something red and make a trip with the family to McDonald's for $0.50 Ice-Cream cone
  • a favourite chocolate next to a their pillow
  • Red Food + Red Dessert + Red Drink for Dinner
  • but celebrate it for LOVE and GRATITUDE to love and be loved
  • Heart Attack neigbours, widow even your own family :)
  • MAKE A VIDEO!

If you are stuck for IDEAS - do some research on Pinterest - they have tons of IDEAS that would get you excited.  I know my little 8 year old Niece RSD loves planning surprises or funstuff - so involving kids in planning would excite them so much!

Here are few of my many Favorites (see pictures below):
  1. Valentines Scavenger Hunt from Adventures in Wunderland
  2. You Make My Heart Pop from Crazy Little Projects
  3. Valentines Banner from Tatertots & Jello
  4. Valentines Dinner from eYe likes food
  5. Valentine Fruits With Messages from Cake Whiz
  6. Bag Toppers from How Does She
  7. Crayon Cards from How Does She
  8. Treat Bag from Little LDS Ideas
  9. Mustache Lip Sucker from I Heart Naptime
  10. Super Hero Valentines from Little Bit Funky

Happy Valentines ya'll..

So one of the many things I love about my job going for a walk to the Bank but unfortunately that comes at least 5 times a YEAR if I am lucky - the Accounts people usually do it!

This route to the Bank I have walked many times before mostly for lunch, After being in this office for a little over 9 years I discovered something unique about this route! There's so many beautiful Vintage Doors & Houses that sent me straight back to the 30s-70s (before I was born) and the most beautiful Vintage Water Fountain I have ever seen {photos below}.

One of my most enjoyable childhood memories was sitting by my Great Grandparents and Grandparents hearing all about their childhood memories and it was so vivid that I could almost feel like I was right in it with them during stories.

HERE'S ONE OF MY MOST CHERISHED CHILDHOOD MEMORIES THAT EXISTED BECAUSE OF MY GRANDMOTHER'S CHILDHOOD: My Grandfather Taipe built a little cabin by the water for his dear wife, my sweet Grandmother Angina so that she's able to relive some of her most favorite childhood memories with her parents.  We would go there for weekends and school holidays and even for Family Home Evening and would sleep there, fishing off the water and swim all day long!  I remember waking up to the perfect sunrise.  The sand was at least 20 steps away from the Cabin and 20 steps more to the water.  I remember use to run out to check if the tide was in so that I can swim and swim and swim.  There were many nights by the fire with the family cooking the crabs that we caught and fishes... and the story goes on.

So somehow walking through this route which I have walked so many times before took me straight back to beautiful memories of my Great Grandparents & Grandparents of which I thoroughly enjoyed and made me missing them a whole lot.. but truly grateful for beautiful memories that I am able to hold onto.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
I managed to take few photos with my iPhone 6 to capture my little adventure to the Bank and before I know it was back in the office and back to reality!

Sometime we're too busy to notice what is around us!  If you are out and about today or whenever you read this article - take few photos and write about it and tag me in as well :)

This year it's going to be CRAZY & EXCITING - well at least that is what I think!

I've spent almost half of January trying to come up with somewhat a REALISTIC KINDA PLAN that would push me toward to achieving my dream in turning my passion into opening an Online Shop | Updating my Blog regularly | Becoming a Better 'me'...  gee that just made me feel tired thinking about all that, hence why I am trying to be very realistic with my Goals this Year because I don't know about you but with me I can be very unrealistic and make fancy goals that becomes a just non other than a dusty decoration on a Shelf!

So my next post will be about my 2016 GOALS!

Happy New Year everyone - and truly thank you for stopping by! xo

How to Celebrate Australia Day

17/1/2016

Picture

Australia Day is celebrated 26th of January every year everywhere in Australia!

Best thing about Australia Day is that there is no set rules how to celebrate the day BUT please do celebrate it even if you are not currently in Australia! It is such a great Country to be a part of!

Here are few steps that might help you get you excited:
  1. STEP 1: PLAN AHEAD: This is very important! While last minute can be very adventurous - it can also take the fun out of the day - and trust me I am the most last minute of all so I know!  Here are few ideas to start you off:
    -  Invite Family or/and Friends for a BBQ at Home or Park
    -  Celebrate at Work
    -  Attending an official event such as Fireworks, Concerts, Parades etc
    -  Beach Day or Pool Day
    -  Visit Museums and learn about Australia's history

  2. STEP 2: DRESS UP:  I love theme dressing! Why not dress up Aussie Colors to suit the occasion.  Use face paints, temporary tattoo, jewellery, make-up, nail polish hats, clothes etc etc.  Here's few cute ideas:
    -  Indigenous Australian Art Inspired Nails from Sonailicious
    -  Koala Face Painting from Jelly Fish Print

  3. STEP 3:  WATCH THE FIREWORKS:  There will be Evening Fireworks, so do your research on what's close to you and pack some snacks, drinks, games and picnic blanket and glowsticks and take you families/friends to watch the Fireworks!

  4.  STEP 4:  FLY THE AUSTRALIAN FLAG:  Grab an Australian Flag, Aboriginal Flag, Torres Strait Islander Flag or other Australia Flag from your local store and hang it from your car or hoist it in front of your house proud and loud.

  5. STEP 5: MAKE AUSTRALIA CRAFTS:  There are tons of craft ideas.. Here are few of my many favorites:
    -   Indoor Boomerang from What Do We Do All Day
    -   Didgeridoo from Mess for Less
    -   Cocatoo Pencil Tins from The Craft Train
    -   Stick & Sprinkle Australian Flag from Danya Banya
    -  Koala Newspaper Collage from House of Baby Piranha
    -  Bush Critters from The Craft Train

  6. STEP 6:  MAKE AUSTRALIA FOOD:  Do you research and make few Australian Food to compliment the day.  Just to name a few:
    -   Mini lamington cupcakes from Childhood 101
    -   Australia Day snack box printable from Three Foot Cooks
    -   Wholemeal Anzac Biscuits from Danya Banya
    -   How to make Damper Bread  from Laughing Kids Learn

  7. STEP 7: SEND AN AUSSIE DAY E-CARD TO FRIENDS AND FAMILIES: Look online for sites that provide this resource and wish your fellow Australians a very happy Australia Day.

Hope you find these information useful and please do send tag me if you end up celebrating Australia Day!

Happy Australia Day! xo
