It's the 1st of March and I haven't post anything on my blog this year! Better late than never right? I seem to say this quiet a lot 'I am crazy busy' but this year I promise myself to go at my own pace and make time to smell the roses and enjoy family time and just 'do me'.
Someone once said that the two of the most powerful words you will ever utter are, "I AM....". To be honest I am one to avoid inspiration quotes because I feel like I need to work on a lot of things and I don't need anymore inspiration to be on top of what I already have, but this one caught my eye - Whatever follows "I AM" becomes your life experience.
When we say things like....
"I am not capable. I am not interesting. I am not good enough. I am not confident. I am not smart enough. I am not coping... " - then we live our life according to those words and this is true on my case!
I have said too many times before I am hopeless and I find myself pushing a little harder just to prove to myself that I am not hopeless, more like 'Pesi against Pesi'.. and as I'm writing this blog I am having my own giggle and 'aha' moment with self affirmation that I AM enough and I am indeed too hard on myself.
Anyways back to my blogging - when we say some of the things I mentioned above our minds lock on, we repeat what we have chosen to say to ourselves, we focus on it, and we get dragged down - like me!
Say, "I AM capable. I AM interesting. I AM good enough. I AM right where I need to be. I AM confident. I AM smart. I AM coping. I AM thriving. I AM moving forward. I AM resilient. I AM resourceful. I AM productive. I AM energized. I AM kind. I AM supported. I AM guided. I AM tolerant. I AM peaceful. I AM present."
My focus for March is to write down a few "I AM" statements that I most need to hear and I will:
- Repeat them daily.
- Put little reminder around myself.
- Put a post it note next to my bed (when my room is finally clean), I AM GOOD ENOUGH.
